Why I built Vitahash
Hello all,
Welcome to Vitahash, a new publishing platform built for anyone with ideas, knowledge, or work worth preserving.
I wanted a place where people could share ideas as easily as they do on Twitter (X), while also having the option to publish more serious and structured work, including academic research.
Most importantly, your work is permanently stamped on-chain, creating a verifiable, time-stamped record of authorship and publication.
X is great for fast thoughts and conversation.
Substack is great for newsletters and building an audience.
LinkedIn is great for professional updates.
Academic journals are great for peer-reviewed research
But I wanted something that could bring these worlds together, with permanent proof that your work is yours online.
Even after you are gone, your work can remain. Your children, grandchildren, and future generations can still see it and verify that you created it.
A platform where anyone can publish, while every piece of work can have lasting proof of authorship, publication time, and contribution.
That’s why I built Vitahash:
• Free to publish - no fees, paywalls, or publication charges
• Permanent proof of publication - every post receives an on-chain record of authorship and publication time
• Transparent revision history - even if you revise or retract a post, the original record remains on-chain
• Clear contribution credit - our B-Index (Blockchain Index) is designed to measure impact based on actual contribution, including distinguishing individual contributions among co-authors. I’ll talk more about the B-Index in a later post.
• Simple publishing - for anyone with ideas worth sharing or preserving
• No wallets or crypto complexity - just sign in with your email
• Two publishing modes - simple publishing when you want speed, plus an optional peer-reviewed research mode
This is my first post on Vitahash.
I’ll be sharing product updates, ideas, and lessons as we build in public.
If you have something worth saying, writing, researching, or preserving, Vitahash is for you.
Welcome to Vitahash.
Let’s build it together.
